Jessica Kaci Roman (Kaci Roman)

Jessica Kaci Roman was born on April 17, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Wilmette, Illinois. The daughter of an event coordinator and an attorney, Kaci, as she is commonly referred to, grew up spending most of her time with her older brother, Justin, and attending many Chicago Cubs games with her brother.

While attending North Shore Country Day School, Kaci became close friends with Pete Wentz, the son of the admissions dean. The two friends hung out together constantly and were even high school sweethearts. When Pete graduated in 1997, Kaci remained his girlfriend. The two ended up breaking up in June of 1999, just days before Pete's 20th birthday.

While touring with her brother, Kaci became close friends with Nick Carter and A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys on their "Into the Millennium" tour in 1999. Kaci again toured with Nick on his solo tour in 2002 when Vi3 opened up for Nick on his "Now or Never" tour. Kaci and Nick have been inseparable since meeting in 1999 and will often refer to each other as "brother and sister".

While touring with the Backstreet Boys in 1999, Kaci became romantically involved with A.J. McLean. Their relationship lasted until early 2001, and many fans blame Kaci for A.J. entering rehab for depression, alcohol and drug abuse in July 2001. Both Kaci and A.J. have adamantly denied this. The two remain close friends to this day.

One of Kaci's closest female friends is Anastacia Salvucci, better known as Staci. She and Staci became friends when Justin formed Vi3, consisting of Lucas Bowers and Staci's cousin, Jackie Salvucci.

While working at the local radio station, Kaci became good friends with the newest DJ (at the time), Kory Knight. The two immediately clicked the day they met and have been best buddies since then.

Although Kaci has never gotten along with any of Nick's girlfriends, Kaci and Nick's girlfriend Kaley seem to get along quite well. Kaley has a secret though, which might just hinder her relationship with both Kaci and Nick.

While out in Los Angeles, A.J. introduces Kaci to Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a professional ballroom dancer featured on the ABC hit reality show, Dancing With The Stars. The two immediately become close friends and Kaci loves how he is straightforward and won't cover up anything but rather will tell you how it is, kind of like Kaci.

From mid-2002 until shortly after signing her recording contract with Latium Entertainment, Kaci worked at the local radio station as both an intern and on-air personality. She primarily worked with the afternoon drive DJ and program director, Chris Marino, but would occasionally fill in on nights with their former night jock and do the occasional on-air shift on weekends.

Kaci and her mother, Jillian, are extremely close and Kaci has worked with her mother at some of the events that Jill has coordinated. On the other hand, Kaci and her father, Robert, aren't that close, since he is always out of town on business, and Kaci feels that he is too controlling. Kaci's best friend is her older brother, Justin, who she has always idolized from a very young age.

Kaci is the proud owner of Hayley, a white short-haired Chihuahua, who is her pride and joy. It just so happens that Hayley was a Valentine's Day present in 2001 from then-boyfriend, A.J. McLean. However, only the people extremely close to Kaci know this because it is her and A.J.'s little secret.

Friends of Kaci will say that she is crazy and outgoing and loves to have a good time. Fans of Kaci will say that she is an amazing singer/songwriter and one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Both are true statements.
